Conference venue

The LHRS conference will be held at Worcester College, University of Oxford. Worcester College, founded in 1714, has a wonderful mix of traditional and modern architecture and stands within 26 acres of award-winning gardens and wooded grounds including a lake. It is just a 5-minute walk to the centre of Oxford and other attractions such as the Ashmolean Museum.

Staying at Worcester College

There are 50 single, ensuite bed and breakfast rooms available at Worcester College for those who wish to stay there. These are £110 per night, which includes VAT and breakfast in the beautiful Worcester College dining hall.

Other accommodation options in Oxford

Oxford has a wide range of accommodation, but it’s not cheap. We recommend that you book as far in advance as possible.

Some options include:

  • Staying in an Oxford College (Isis Guest House on Abingdon road is an example budget guest room (from £50)). Note do not use the PSYCHOLOGY 22 code (see above) or you will only see rooms available at Worcester College.
  • Staying in a local bed and breakfast (we recommend staying in the city centre or within walking distance to the centre. Make sure you read Tripadvisor reviews before booking, as there are one or two terrible B&Bs in Oxford). We recommend:
    • Tower House Rooms (from £120) – ONLY 8 rooms
  • Staying in a hotel the city centre. We recommend:
    • The Old Bank Holiday (from £215)
    • The Old Parsonage (from £215)

Important: Parking in Oxford is extremely limited. We recommend that you travel using public transport. Some hotels may offer parking.
